The Business Development Specialist  will play a crucial role in supporting Roma entrepreneurs and job seekers through REDI’s Incubation, Acceleration, and Growth programs. This position is designed for a hands-on professional who is passionate about business development, mentoring, and economic empowerment.

The ideal candidate will work closely with early-stage and growing entrepreneurs, providing practical guidance, training, and mentorship to help them formalize, scale, and sustain their businesses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Incubation: Assist aspiring and early-stage entrepreneurs in business registration, financial literacy, digital marketing, and customer acquisition.
  • Business Acceleration: Support entrepreneurs in scaling their operations, implementing pricing strategies, applying for tenders, and optimizing business structures.
  • Business Growth: Guide experienced entrepreneurs in investment readiness, business expansion, supplier networking, and financial planning.
  • One-on-One Mentorship: Provide tailored support to entrepreneurs, focusing on their immediate challenges and long-term business sustainability.
  • Practical Training & Workshops: Conduct hands-on sessions on business planning, financial management, digitalization, and marketing.
  • Access to Finance: Support entrepreneurs in securing loans, grants, and investment opportunities.
  • Market Expansion & Networking: Connect entrepreneurs with new markets, partners, and business development resources.
  • Tracking & Reporting: Monitor participant progress and ensure the achievement of key milestones within the program.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Economics, Entrepreneurship, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience in business development, entrepreneurship, mentoring, or training programs.
  • 1-2 years business facilitation
  • OR 3+ years entrepreneurship
  • Community engagement experience
  • Basic training delivery
  • Ability to engage and motivate entrepreneurs from marginalized communities.
  • Practical problem-solving skills with a results-driven mindset.
  • Strong networking and partnership-building abilities.
  • Experience with EU-funded projects or social enterprises is an advantage.

Languages

Local language fluency

English B2 level

Romani language will be considered as an advantage
