Cristina Marian has 15+ years of work experience. Mrs. Marian has managed projects targeting Roma communities from more than 20 countries in Europe, Roma women and youth, focusing on human rights issues, legal and financial empowerment of disadvantaged communities and fighting racial discrimination. Mrs. Marian has expertise in project management, monitoring and evaluation. With a Master of Laws (LLM) in Human Rights from Central European University, Mrs. Marian has established the first Roma lawyers’ associations in Romania and North Macedonia. She has been developing projects and initiatives while working with Open Society Foundations Justice Initiative and the Roma Initiatives. Mrs Marian was a Member of the Advisory Council on Youth with the Council of Europe, establishing together with CoE governments the annual priorities for the youth sector. In addition, Mrs. Marian was a board member of the Forum of European Roma Young People (FERYP), with membership in 30 countries, providing medium-term project implementation strategies.
