About the project

EU Support to REDI Phase II: Advancing Roma Entrepreneurs in the Western Balkans and Türkiye is a three-year initiative (September 2024 – August 2027) led by REDI International, with support from the European Commission. The project empowers Roma entrepreneurs and communities by expanding access to finance, training, and business development services, while fostering digital transformation and green economic opportunities.

Building on achievements in Serbia and North Macedonia, this new phase extends to Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, and Türkiye*, creating a truly regional approach. Through Regional Business Centres in North Macedonia, Serbia, and Türkiye, the project will provide tailored support to over 3,000 Roma-led businesses, helping them grow, formalize, and innovate. Activities include business incubation, mentorship, access to finance, the Roma Digital Boost program, and pilot initiatives in recycling and renewable energy.

The project also strengthens employability for young Roma and women through training, internships, and green job opportunities, while advancing dialogue with governments, financial institutions, and civil society to improve policies for Roma economic inclusion.

By promoting entrepreneurship, skills development, and sustainable growth, the project contributes to the EU Roma Strategic Framework 2020–2030 and supports regional integration, economic resilience, and inclusive prosperity in the Western Balkans and Türkiye.
