Description

REDI is inviting expressions of interest from qualified and experienced professionals to join its Pool of Experts. The selected experts will provide on-demand support for capacity-building, training, and technical assistance across several thematic areas related to entrepreneurship, digitalization, green economy, financial literacy, employment and vocational training, and business leadership. The engagement will be project-based and aligned with the organization’s mission to foster inclusive economic development, with a particular focus on Roma communities.

Terms of Reference (ToR) for Experts:

  1. Entrepreneurship Expert

Objective:
To provide tailored training modules, coaching, and business development support to Roma entrepreneurs, startups, and small enterprises, empowering them to build and scale sustainable businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver training programs on entrepreneurship, business planning, innovation, and market access.
  • Support clients in identifying viable business opportunities and creating value propositions.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to early-stage entrepreneurs and micro-businesses.
  • Contribute to the development of toolkits, manuals, and resource materials on entrepreneurship.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in entrepreneurship support, business incubation, or startup acceleration.
  • Demonstrated success in helping micro or small enterprises to grow.
  • Strong knowledge of business models, lean startup methodologies, and financial planning.
  • Experience working with marginalized communities or in development cooperation is an asset.
  1. Digitalization Expert

Objective:
To facilitate the digital transformation of small businesses by supporting the adoption of digital tools and innovative technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess the digital readiness and needs of Roma entrepreneurs
  • Develop and deliver training on digital tools, e-commerce, digital marketing, and Business AI tools.
  • Advise businesses on CRM system implementation, automation, and data analytics.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of digital transformation activities.

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in IT consultancy, digital strategy, or tech advisory roles.
  • Proven experience in supporting SMEs in their digitalization journey.
  • Strong knowledge of digital tools (e.g., e-commerce platforms, AI solutions, CRM systems)
  • Experience in training delivery and digital inclusion is highly desirable.
  1. Green Economy Expert

Objective:
To promote sustainable business practices and support the transition toward a circular and green economy. Developing Green Neighbourhoods and green initiatives, to bring green sustainability in the Roma communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement training modules on sustainability, green entrepreneurship, and circular economy.
  • Advise businesses on green production methods.
  • Support the integration of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles into business operations.
  • Develop Green Neighbourhood initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Academic background in environmental science, sustainability, green technology, or related areas.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in green economy projects, sustainability consulting, or circular economy initiatives.
  • Familiarity with EU Green Deal, ESG reporting, and climate change mitigation strategies.
  1. Financial Literacy Expert

Objective:
To increase the financial knowledge and skills of Roma entrepreneurs and small business owners, enhancing their capacity to manage finances and access capital.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver interactive financial literacy workshops and online modules.
  • Advise entrepreneurs on budgeting, financial reporting, savings, credit, and investment.
  • Provide guidance on tax compliance, legal structures, and risk management.
  • Support access to microfinance, grants, and loan instruments.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in finance, accounting, economics, or business administration.
  • At least 5 years of experience in SME finance, financial consulting, or investment advisory.
  • Strong understanding of local financial ecosystems and business regulations.
  • Experience working with low-income groups or informal businesses is an advantage.
  1. Employment & Vocational Training Expert

Objective:
To enhance employability, facilitate job placements, and strengthen vocational skills of Roma youth and job seekers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design vocational training programs that align with current labor market demands.
  • Facilitate partnerships with private sector companies for internship and employment placements.
  • Deliver career counseling, job readiness workshops, and soft skills training.
  • Monitor participant progress and provide follow-up support.

Qualifications:

  • Background in human resources, education, workforce development, or labor market analysis.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in employment programs, VET institutions, or NGO sector.
  • Knowledge of labor legislation, national employment strategies, and skills development frameworks.
  1. Leadership & Business Development Expert

Objective:
To support entrepreneurs, startup founders, and business leaders in strengthening their leadership capacities and strategic growth potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver training on leadership development, strategic thinking, and decision-making.
  • Mentor business owners on scaling operations, team building, and innovation management.
  • Provide strategic advisory services on business restructuring, partnerships, and growth planning.
  • Facilitate peer-learning events, roundtables, and business networking activities.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree or equivalent experience in business administration, executive coaching, or organizational development.
  • Proven record in leadership training or senior advisory roles for SMEs and social enterprises.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.

General Requirements for All Experts

  • Demonstrated expertise and relevant academic or professional qualifications in their respective fields.
  • Proven experience in learning methodologies and capacity building.
  • Strong interpersonal and mentoring skills, with the ability to adapt content to various levels of knowledge and cultural contexts.
  • Previous experience working with marginalized communities, Roma inclusion programs, or development cooperation projects is a strong advantage.
  • Proficiency in Macedonian is required, knowledge of Albanian and Romani languages will be considered an asset.
